Mirror/Reflection Technique - Father's Day Club Card

For Stamp Club get together last month we created this card.  I was inspired by a similar swap card i received a while back from Kathy Lancetti. --Thank you Kathy for the inspiration.. : )

I had my eye on the Mirror/Reflection technique for awhile now and couldn't wait to show my club girls this neat technique.  This is a fairly quick technique and all you need is a piece of acetate to stamp and transfer your image.

First ink up your image and stamp on a piece of  whisper white card stock.  Ink up your image again and then stamp on a piece of acetate. To mirror the image line up the image that is on the acetate, with the wet ink facing down, and place it down on the whisper white card stock directly below the already stamped image.  The instructions i followed said to transfer the image by rolling the brayer over the acetate but i found it easier just to rub the acetate with my fingers.  I used old olive ink and a sponge dauber, in circular motion to create some "grass" and used bashful blue ink and a Stampin' Sponge for the "sky".  On the mirror side sponge "lightly" with the same colours to give it a softer look-- like a reflection.

Hope you like  : )
