As some of you know I'm not a big fan of Melon Mambo but when i was flipping through one of my craft magazines and saw this exact same card, having 4 butterflies in each square with the exact same colour scheme i just had to try it out. Don't you just love these colours together? HOT..HOT...HOT.. ; )
The only thing i switched up was the stitching part. The original card i saw had a bit of sewing in between the butterflies but i haven't totally plunged into the sewing world of paper crafting so i decided to do a bit of faux stitching to give the card the same look. AND since I'm not much of a melon mambo fan i was super excited to pull out my supply of Melon Mambo ribbon and textured card stock--woohoo!
Quick Tip: To adhere ribbon place a piece of sticky strip across your card front. Apply ribbon by pleading 4 loops to the left and leaving the rest flat. Leaving the first 2 loops to the left, with your finger push the other two loops to the right. Place brad in the middle. I've had this card for several months and the ribbon has not moved! (YES i was shocked...LOL-- great ribbon technique with strong sticky tape!)This card fits into Stampin' Up!'s 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" Medium Square Envelope (107289)
