Here's Coach Jarrod's card. Usually i would make all the coaches cards the same but this year the team mom and i thought it would be fun to create something that ties in with Jarrod's crazy obsession. She's the one handed the Clipboard and pencil for score keeping and it's just not score keeping it's making sure she pencils in all the plays each inning..who got out..how...why..etc. Lot of FC's were flying around this year. I'm happy to say i'm quickly learning the baseball lingo and know what that means--Fielder's Choice ;). Since the kids started playing baseball at the ages of 4 and 5 coach Jarrod has kept stats on each player....CRAZY!.. told you he was a HUGE baseball fan...what other coach wears an authentic jersey to represent their team in the little league? Keeping stats is fun and cute when they are young cuz really what kind of stats could they really have but as they get older it becomes stressful! lol Ethan is sad he will be leaving the Rookies Division, moving up to the minors next year leaving behind Coach Jarrod (his uncle) to coach the Rookie Division one more year. Ethan's cousin has one more year of the Rookies. Although they were born in the same year the cut off for baseball is April 30 and ethan turned 8 just 2 days before the cut off so he moves up before cousin Jayden. BUT of course coach Jarrod is close by to make sure his STATS remain in good order.. : ) For this card i really wanted to have more pages behind the clipboard with each players stats and have the kids sign their page with their name and jersey number but time didn't allow for that! In the end it was a fun card to create and of course coach loved it!
Here's Ethan up to bat! What a little slugger! He really enjoyed Baseball this year. After the regular season was over he tried out for the 8 year old all star team. AND made the team. Wootwoo.. I was so proud of him! I'll show you some photos of the All Star team and coaches cards i created next week.
I used the word window for the eraser. For the pencil i punched out a a piece of crumb cake card using the word window punch and then stuck it back into the full heart punch to get a point. For the top of the clipboard i used the round tab punch. I punch out the piece and used one half of it cutting the round part off. Hope you like : )
