This week i have a couple personal birthday posts to share with you..!!
Today i want to wish my wonderful friend of 13 years (really..has it been that long?) a Happy Birthday!
This card was created JUST for you CASEY!!!
We were invited to a "Bonfire" get together last weekend? hum.. didn't know if Casey was secretly having a birthday party or if she had some other news to share with us? Her sister thought maybe she was going to announce that she was pregnant..? -- hum.... maybe she just wanted to have her family and friends over...?? Whatever the reason was i was game to make a card!! AND my kids had a blast! They did not want to leave..!! Playing in a "yard" is every kids dream.. horses, dogs, basket ball court, bonfire, roasting marsh mellows - making smores! yup we had to DRAG them out of there!! ....we weren't even out of the driveway and Ethan said "when can we come back here??".

Here are some great shots of my baby girl's first horsey ride! She LOVED it! Auntie Casey was her HERO..! We drive by many horses when we head out Langley way but we are always saying "look out your window, there's a horsey".. She's never been on a horse before. I thought she might be scared because horses are so much bigger up close. That didn't stop her from wanting MORE horsey rides!! We had to give poor Flash a break! Alyssa seriously can't wait to ride Flash again soon.. : )
Casey owns 2 horses and keeps them down the street at her friend Sandy's place. That's Sandy standing beside the horse (thank you Sandy for keeping your eye on Alyssa and making her 1st horsey ride so much fun!)..
So i emailed Casey the morning of her party to let her know that the kids were super excited about coming over and that i was going to "whip" up a Horsey card for her!! She's always amazed with my card making. I haven't yet convinced Casey that she CAN be crafty..! --It's never too late to get stampin'.. : )
So now i was under some pressure.. creating a card the day of is not a good idea...LOL.. but i so often do it..!! : )
All i have to do is look at the many samples i have and bingo.. the hamster spins faster and faster and bamo i can come up with a card in minutes!! I got the idea and layout for Casey's horse card from this card:
I created this card a while back!! What i love about creating is that you don't have to think of something new. You can look at something already designed and new ideas appear. I knew right away what i was going to create with the horse stamp after glancing at this card!!
A quick tip:
To give your card stock a bit more texture ink up your sponge lightly and dab lightly around your image on the card stock!
