Perfectly Lemonade

Wow, canning jars are hot these days!  I found these adorable little canning jars with sweet little daisy cut outs on the lid that are perfect for slipping a straw into.  The lemonade really hit the spot during this heat wave we've been having.  And it inspired me to use the Perfectly Perserved stamp set and matching Cannery Set Framelits dies to create this sweet and simple little card.

Products used for this project:

Stamp Sets: Perfectly Perserved, Sweets for the Sweet

Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Brights Collection DSP, Velum.

Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Really Red, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso (marker).

Accessories and More: Cannery Set Framilits Dies, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Brights Collection Buttons, Linen Thread, Dimensionals.

Mmmmm............nothing like icy cold lemonade on a hot day!  Cheers!

Busy as a Bee

Well, the lavender is blooming, and the bees are busy!  Don't they know it's summer, it's hot, and it's time to take a break and be lazy?  I must say, I've been as busy as a little bee too!  But I now get to slow down (a little) for a couple of weeks, until everything gets crazy again.  I'm looking forward to hitting my craft room and getting some creative time in.  I've decided to harvest the lavender -- I have TONS of it!  But what to do with it all?

These muslin sachets will hold the lavendar and will make sweet little gifts later in the year.

Products used for this project:

Stamp Sets: Papillon Potpourri, French Foliage.

Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso

Accessories and More:  Muslin sachet bags (can be found at big box craft stores), Linen Thread, lots of lavender :)

Pirate Cupcakes {Tutorial}

Ahoy Matey!

Finn is turning five!  We created Pirate Ship Cupcakes to help celebrate!  Arrrgh!

Wouldn't you love to create these cupcakes for someone special?  Now you can!  I have put together a detailed tutorial and template on how make the Pirate Ship Cupcake Wrappers and Sail.  The tutorial is in three part (one PDF tutorial, one PDF Pirate Cupcake Wrapper Template, and one customizable Word document Sail Template).   Note:  fonts used in the sail template are AqualineTwo and Windlass.  They are available as free downloads on various font sites.  If you do not have these fonts, the words will still appear, but in a different font. The skull and crossbones on the sail are stamped with the "Beware Pirates" stamp.  This set is currently retired, but you can stamp it with all different sorts of stamps, or even leave it plain.

You can purchase the complete three part tutorial for only  $2.50

Or find the link to purchase on the top right sidebar.  As always, tutorials will be e-mailed to the email address registered to your PayPal account within 24 hours following your purchase.  If you do not receive your email, please check your spam box.  If you still have not received your file within 24 hours, please contact me so I can correct any issues.

We also made these Pirate Invitations and custom Root Beer Labels.

The invites were made in MDS using AqualineTwo font and printed onto parchement paper.  We burned the edges with a candle, sponged with Soft Suede ink, and spritzed with a Cherry Cobbler marker in the Colour Spritzer Tool.  Then we rolled them up and tied them with Linen Thread.

Mmmmmm........Root Beer!  Second only to rum!  These custom Root Beer Lables were made with MDS, using Windlass and AqualineTwo fonts,  and printed onto Whisper White cardstock.    Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets were placed onto the back of the cardstock.  The neck label says "Finn's 5th Birthday", and was cut out with a Paper Trimmer.  The main label was cut out with a Labels Collection Framelit.  Both of these were placed onto a bottle of root beer (with the existing labels removed obviously:))

.....more pirate fun!..............
